(Click on the Image to open a clearer view) #ABPOS "The Thinner Soul", Chp. 4 Radiance- Off years are fun; breakfast, brunch, dinner, a dog park with a friend for a walk, an over-zealous meeting with no real mind to get going.  I've got sticky notes for days, stacked atop each other.. with horizontal sidelines and vertical bylines.  It all just sits there until suddenly there comes a fire under your pants.  I received a wedding dress eight years ago, and it naturally ruined my tour.  Finding that landing for my eyes, keeping the mind in one lane, and pretending that I wasn't imagining him coming to the edge of the stage to say "I told you so" was too heartbreaking.  Whether the fans felt the detachment or not, is unknown to me.  I might have heard a rumor or two but I kept my ears fixed on the real critics, and what felt like embarrassment was labeled endearing and empathetic.   He's been with me in five different countries and has surprised me ...

(Click on the Image to open a clearer view) #ABPOS "The Thinner Soul", Chp. 2 Kaylin- I write for almost everyone in the business, but not her.  Mountains do reach high and all valleys don't need to run so low.  We've been friends and we've been friendly.  I don't sing, and I've never seen him again.  Kayla is Kayla, and I'm Kaylin.  She gambles at times, and I never gamble.  It's hard to be a threat when you don't see the threat.  She begged me once to step up into what she said she could see was a rich, delicate voice hiding in the shadows of a list of hit songs, but it's just never felt like a pair of shoes I needed to walk in.   I'm back in the country and in a armored truck.  I go mainly unseen in and out of the country these days.  Usually it's a short ride not full of clutter or money bags.
